Spiritual Realms

The dimensions that we ordinarily experience of this material realm are not the only realities which surround us. Though the spiritual realms seem invisible, it is only we who are blind to them. Our spiritual eyes can be opened!

Kingdom of God  The Kingdom of God is both the King's domain (kingdom = territory) and His dominion (kingdom = reign). God's Kingdom fully encompass heaven but when speaking of "the kingdom of God," it is primarily God's reign on earth and the territory under His direct control which scripture has in mind.

The Third Heaven  Heaven has seemingly an infinite number of dimensions or places of its "geography" that we will one day explore. What scripture calls the "highest heaven" is the realm where our Father is seated upon His throne. There could be nothing higher than that!

The Holy Angels  Although people commonly refer to all heavenly beings as angels, this can be very misleading. First of all, not all divine beings are perfect angels! Some of them are real stinkers—the fallen angels and demons which you can read more about in the section on Spiritual Darkness. Yet, even the good divine beings are far more diverse in size, shape and function than the generic term angel brings to mind.

Kingdom of Darkness  Of the many spiritual realms associated with the Enemy, the kingdom of darkness primarily emphasizes his nefarious reign on earth. The realms of spiritual darkness also include hell below us and the second heavens above us.
