Intimacy and Holiness

Without purity of heart it is impossible to see God. Fortunately, the Holy Spirit enables us to live with our hearts utterly devoted to the Lord, desiring nothing better than to be fully surrendered to Him at all times. This would be entirely impossible except for the grace that covers our many failures and the power that raises us to this new life. Yet, none of this can happen unless we desire it!

Christians throughout the ages have mistakenly believed that they knew Jesus sufficiently, or that by the light of faith they could see Him as He is--if they were not wholeheartedly pursing a holy life before Him. This deception is being fully exposed in our day as a failed way of living out the new birth.
